Relationship issues
Crack! All of a sudden, he felt a gentle but violent breeze go by his clean shaven face. He ducked down and stumbled into the middle of the aisle. The crowd gave a loud gasp but the awe struck man paid no attention. he was too focused on the small rubber puck that lay to the side of his girlfriend. Quickly he dove onto it before the other fans flocked to it. He managed to right himself amongst the scuffle and held his prize up high as he was applauded by the entire arena. As he basked in his glory paramedics rushed to the aid of his girlfriend, her eye gushing blood like the breached levies in New Orleans. He turned around only to notice her in a stretcher being taken the aisle. He shrugged and continued to watch the rest of the game without leaving to check on her. When he arrived home at 2am he was greeted by the empty closet space once occupied by his formes lover's belongings. She wasn't coming back. When later asked if he regreted his actions, re replied, "not at all, it was the playoffs!"

SA2 Reign Supreme- Saving Grace
born alone, i'm always trying and failing
to escape the slowly sinking feeling
i have worn like a weighted crown of thorns
can we share this burden of being born alone?
we fucking die alone
no words can change what's written in stone
so i fall, fall down to my knees
oh god save me from the hands of my fellow man
but no one can save me from this path i've chosen now
to leave those empty words behind, i can't be saved
crashing bores and lifeless whores, all that surrounds
and the hunter becomes the hunted down, trust in doubt
trust in nothing but a reckless abandon
and the hunter becomes the hunted down, so save yourself
and if you spit, i'll swallow every bitter taste
buried so deep inside of me
this sovereign heart is my saving grace
could never be a part of something more
could never be a part of something worth dying for
and i'll live a life that doesn't mean anything
break the cycle, break those chains
but when i die, you'll sing songs that don't mean anything
break the cycle, break the chains
we all die alone

Legend and Myth in Music
1. Robert Johnson had always aspired to be a famous blues guitarist since he was a small boy. While he was still a teenager, he was instructed to go to the town's crossroads at midnight. When he arrived there he met a very large man presumed to be the devil. Robert Johnson gave him his guitar and the man tuned it for him. He then proceeded to play several songs on the guitar. Johnson was offered mastery of the instrument in exchange for his soul. He handed the guitar back to Johnson and the two made a deal. Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil so that he may play blues music better than anyone else in the world.
2. During his announcement to singing with CBS records, ozzy and sharon osbourne decided to release doves into the crowd of people. Ozzy however; showed up to the event extremely drunk. So he grabbed on of the doves and bit its head off. There was another incident at one of his concerts where a dead bat was thorn to him on stage. Ozzy, thinking it was rubber, took the bat and bit its head off in spite of the moment. He was taken to the hospital to recieve rabies shots shortly after. Both of these accounts have been confirmed as true events but some still remain skeptical.

Why It Scares Me- La Dispute
At times I’ve shouted out unprovoked, at the world and you,
Just to see if the people around me react.
Sometimes I think they’re all acting,
At times I’m scared that I’m acting too. Like,
My movements or stage directions?
Was that a change in topic or a beat in a scene?
Have I been taking my emotional cues from a script I wrote at sixteen?
Maybe I just think about it all so much
That that the fear stays close to all the ghosts I’ve touched.
Makes me question
Was it love or just lust?
Caked in blood or old rust?
I don’t know.
Don’t we remember all the moments we remember the best
Framed in poems and in pictures, sang aloud in refrains?
Does this cycle of pain and disdain for the past
Not work exactly the same?
Maybe it’s just as much about what comes our way as it is how we react.
Just as much about the things that we’ve still got as it is about the things we lack.
I know, we won’t always keep around all we feel we need-
some are fading in frames, some were born to leave-
But if we’re still here, and we still breathe,
At least we’ve still got time to figure it out,
To know what to do,
To know how to feel,
Know the things that I’ve been making up inside my head,
And to know what’s real.
I want to believe that the way I am is just the way it goes.
For the things that came, not the things I chose
to come.
I want to know if I had any control.
I want to know if it’d comfort me.
And if my heart just stops, pack my memories in it-
I want to know all the love I’ve got.
And if my heart just stops, keep me alive for a minute-
I want to know if a curtain drops.
In the song, "Why It Scares Me" by La Dispute, the song writer used an extended metaphor to compare his life to that of a stage directed play. He feels as though his life is predetermined before him. Whether or not he truly believes that his life has truly been planned out for is questionable but according to this song he finds this to be true. He makes connections such as the part where he says, "My movements or stage directions, was that a change in topic or a beat in a scene?". For all he knows, he could have an audience monitoring his life. This is highly unlikely but nonetheless, he does make it seem believable with the way he conveys his point. The singer also uses a certain tone of voice to help convey his point. He shouts the words loudly to his point gets across to everyone who listens. His tone is so powerful that the listener just has to listen to the words that he is speaking, they are loud yet clear. I think this song is brilliantly written and performed and deserves more recognition than it gets.

Pet Peeves
1. Arrogant People: I can't stand it when someone argues a point that is clearly wrong. People just can't admit when they are wrong and it drives me crazy.
2. Hats: It bothers me so much when people, mostly adolescents, wear thier hats to the side and barely hanging on thier head. It doesnt look good, I dont know why they think it does. Perhaps they think that by wearing thier hat barely clinging to thier head that it makes them look "hood". I'm not sure why wearing you're hat balancing on your head defines you as "hood".
3. Complainers: Stop complaining and do something about it.
4. Hipsters: You are not different, you are conforming to the non-conformists. You are not trendy, you copy the same styles as everyone else in your scene.
5. Alarm Clocks: They always wake me up so early.
6. Hippies: You are not a hippie because you listen to the Beatles, Hendrix or Bob Dylan, you are just some pot smoking, behind in your time failure.
7. Over Priced Sandwiches: You arn't even that good of a sandwich, why do you cost so much?
